On June 10th, 1944, the small French village of Oradour-sur-Glane was the site of one of the most brutal and heinous crimes committed during World War II. A detachment of Nazi SS troops surrounded the village and rounded up all of the men, women, and children, claiming that they were conducting a routine identity check.

The massacre of Oradour-sur-Glane remains a tragic reminder of the

atrocities committed during World War I. Today, the village stands as a memorial to the innocent lives lost on that fateful day. The preservedruins of the village serve as a powerful reminder of the horrors of war and the importance of peace and understanding.
